Pre-galvanized steel pipes are widely used in construction, plumbing, chemical industries, agriculture, and other fields, where their quality directly impacts project safety and lifespan. Therefore, strict quality control and inspection of these steel pipes are crucial.
1.Raw Material Testing:
To maintain consistency and stability in production quality, we carefully select reliable suppliers known for their stable, high-quality raw materials. However, as industrial products may have some degree of variance, we subject each batch of raw material strips to strict testing upon arrival at our factory.
First, we visually inspect the strip's appearance for gloss, surface smoothness, and any visible issues like alkali return or knocking. Next, we use vernier calipers to check the strip's dimensions, ensuring they meet the required width and thickness. Then, we use a zinc meter to test the zinc content of the strip surface at multiple points. Only qualified strips pass inspection and are registered in our warehouse, while any unqualified strips are returned.
2.Process Detection:
During steel pipe production, we conduct thorough inspections to detect and address any quality issues that may arise in the production process.
We start by checking the weld quality, ensuring that factors such as welding voltage and current do not result in weld defects or zinc layer leakage. We also inspect each steel pipe on the testing platform for issues like holes, heavy skin, flower spots, or plating leakage. Straightness and dimensions are measured, and any unqualified pipes are removed from the batch. Finally, we measure the length of each steel pipe and check the flatness of the pipe ends. Any unqualified pipes are promptly removed to prevent them from being bundled with finished products.
3.Finished Product Inspection:
Once the steel pipes are fully produced and packaged, our on-site inspectors conduct a thorough inspection. They check the overall appearance, clear spray codes on each pipe, uniformity and symmetry of the packing tape, and the absence of water residue in the pipes.
4.Final Factory Inspection:
Our warehouse lifting workers perform a final visual inspection of each steel pipe before loading them onto trucks for delivery. They ensure that every product meets our quality standards and is ready for delivery to our customers.
At Womic Steel, our commitment to quality control ensures that every galvanized steel pipe meets the highest standards, reflecting our dedication to excellence in steel pipe manufacturing.
